Tree service companies
Google Ads and tracking for tree service businesses.
A limb on a roof is urgent, while pruning and lot clearing are planned work with a longer decision. Emergency removals, scheduled pruning, crane work, and lot clearing each carry different job values and response needs.

No published record from tree service businesses yet. These two use the same call and form tracking in other trades.
I build separate campaigns for storm removal and planned tree work, matched to your crews, your crane access, and how fast you can send a team. You approve my fee, the ad budget, and the end date in writing before launch.
Every engagement gets a fixed test budget and an end date. Nothing spends until both are written down.
Storm work and planned work are different decisions
A limb on a roof is decided in minutes. A pruning plan or a lot clearing quote is decided over days, with a site visit and a written estimate. A campaign that mixes them makes storm calls look expensive and planned jobs look cheap.
What I manage
Storm and emergency removal
Fallen trees, storm damage, and hazardous limbs, limited to the work your crews can dispatch. The ad matches the response window you can keep, and it does not promise same-day service you cannot give.
Scheduled pruning and trimming
Planned pruning, shaping, and tree health work. These searches have a longer decision cycle, so the landing page should show past work and a clear quote path.
Crane and lift work
Jobs that need a crane or bucket truck carry higher value and need a qualification step. They get their own campaign or landing page when your data shows the split is worth it.
Lot clearing and land work
Clearing for building sites and property owners. These buyers usually compare several quotes, so the page should explain the process, the service area, and what the price includes.
What gets tracked
The report covers spend, recorded calls and forms, quality checks, and a next step.
I track calls and forms from the ads and from your website. The monthly report splits calls and forms by service, so you can see what each kind of enquiry cost.
Cost per call is a platform number. Cost per confirmed job is closer to the decision. You can work it out with the cost per booked job calculator.
Where tree service spend leaks
Irrelevant searches. Firewood, DIY tree cutting, equipment rental, and tree identification searches. I review the search-terms report and add negative keywords for anything that cannot become your work.
Wrong area. A job two counties away costs travel time and crew hours. I compare enquiry locations with travel time before widening the area.
Calls you cannot serve. A lead count can rise while booked jobs stay flat, because the caller needs a service you do not offer or no crew is free that week.
Storm surges. Demand spikes after a storm and falls quickly. A budget set for a short spike can run out before crews can take the work, so I set it against crew capacity.
The first test has a boundary
There is no universal budget for a tree service company. The right first test depends on crew size, crane access, average job value, margin, and how many jobs your team can take now.
Before launch, you approve my fee, the separate ad budget, and the end date in writing. At the end, you choose to continue, adjust, or stop. More calls do not justify more spend unless they become jobs your team can serve.
Start with three numbers
Tell me what your last marketing attempt cost, what a typical removal or pruning job is worth after the costs you track, and how many jobs your crews can take this week. If one number is missing, working it out is part of the review.
Start a conversation or ask for a free review. The first step is a read-only review. If the numbers do not justify more advertising, I will say so.
Questions tree service businesses ask
Should storm removal and scheduled pruning run in one campaign?
Usually not. Storm work is decided in hours, sometimes with insurance involved. Pruning and lot clearing are quoted and booked over days. Separate campaigns keep each budget and each decision readable.
Is crane work worth its own campaign?
It can be, when the job value is high and the search language is specific. I test it as its own campaign with its own end date, and your confirmed jobs decide whether it stays.
What should I track besides cost per call?
Track the service the caller asked for, whether a quote went out, whether the quote was accepted, and the job value you confirm. Cost per quoted or booked job is closer to the decision than cost per call.
Do I need a storm to run ads?
No. Storm demand is short and unpredictable. Most of the account runs on steady demand for removal, pruning, and clearing. Storm budget is set only when your crews can respond.
